Cycling in the street of Marco Pantani

Riccione is a coastal city, considered the meeting point of some Italian VIPs. Its most famous street is Viale Ceccarini, known for its famous boutiques and for its stores with the best Italian
and international brands. The city lies at the feet of the Conca Valley, a very beautiful historical region of medieval castles framed by beautiful hills.

This region offers many tourist alternatives and historic towns that can be easily visited:

1st day – arrival in Riccione – nearest airport: Bologna. Private shuttle from airport to hotel. Check in, then free time. Bike delivery and settings (to be agreed on). Dinner and hotel accommodations.

2nd day– 9 a.m., departure for the bike run with our guide (see the available routes below). Back to the hotel for lunch about at 3 p.m. Free time. We can suggest further activities. Dinner and hotel accommodations.

3rd day – 9 a.m., departure for the run with our guide (see the available routes below). Return to the hotel for lunch about at 3 p.m. and return the bikes. Free time. We can suggest further activities. Dinner and accommodations.

4th day – after a quiet breakfast, still enchanted by the warmth and hospitality of Romagna, prepare for the shuttle to take us to the train station or Bologna airport. Hotel check out time, 11 a.m. latest.

  • Rimini romanica – km 46: Bike the historic city of Rimini, a city founded by the Roman people in 268 BC (called at that time Ariminum), it represented a strategic point for that people because it was the meeting point between the north and south of the peninsula. Rimini is famous as the destination of the tourists going to the beach, but actually, in its heart lie hidden historical treasures of immense value. There you can also stop and taste a delicious Italian ice cream.
  • Gradara Castle – km 53: Gradara, a must for its castle, famous because of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri who wrote, in the Divine Comedy, the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca. That castle once belonged to the Malatesta family was the residence of Lady Alberta, until 1983. We will reach it through secondary streets immersed in the colors and scents of this beautiful landscape and fantastic sites with cliffs and sea overlooking. We will pass by the wondrous village restored San Giovanni in Marignano, also known as “The Barn of the Malatestas”.
  • San Bartolo Mount – km 49: Pedaling along the valleys and hills of the Marches region, the land of Montefeltro, discover the wonders of that sea as seen from above! The scent of local flora accompanies us all the way for an unforgettable memory of this trip through nature, history and tradition. The beauty of Fiorenzuola and the charming village of Castel di Mezzo will give you a breathtaking view of the cliffs, with a memorable view of that coast. On the way back along the border of the famous Riviera, enjoy this privileged spectacle in the pleasant company of our bikes! Then, free time.
  • Republic of San Marino – km 52: Crossing the old railway road which linked Rimini to San Marino, reach the “Old Land of Liberty”, nowadays known as the Republic of San Marino. It is located 770 m above sea level. Here we may enjoy the full panorama above the territory. Its three tower overlook the Adriatic coast. When you arrive inside the ancient walls you will rediscover traditions and ceremonies of the medieval period.
  • Albereto Castle – 57 km: Cross the Marano park for about 20 km of dirt road, to follow up Montescudo, an interesting medieval village that provides a panoramic view of the entire region. From there we will follow up to the Church of Peace, which is now an open-air museum due to its ruins since World War II.
  • Malatestian Castles – km 60: Ride towards the medieval castles: Montefiore and Saludecio, theater of great battles between the Malatesta and the Montefeltro families in their attempts at conquest, and also site of the tragedy of World War II. They are located along the Gothic Line. Along the way, we will pass through Mondaino, a small town where we can enjoy its delicious local cheese. A route full of history and traditions, where each stop makes you feel as if it were partof a fairy tale.
